This is my tree of life. I was inspired to use the words to form the tree, rather than draw the tree and fill it in. The black represents my roots, and where I came from. The green is the ground and what I do for myself each week. The brown trunk represents my values and skills, up into the branches of goals, hopes, and dreams. The names in green, red, and orange are the leaves of my tree. These names are family, friends, educators, and co-workers who have impacted my life in positive ways. How fortunate I am that I couldn’t fit them all! The purple words represent the fruit that would have fallen from my tree in the form of legacies that I wish to leave behind. Without really planning it, I made my tree into a deciduous tree in the fall as its leaves change colour. Fall is my favourite time of year!
This is a really nice visual Shena, mine turned out to be very similar but I like how you used color!
Hi Sheena,
I absolutely love the way you put together your tree. What a great idea! Mine is just a regular old tree with words in it. boring!
This is a beautiful tree and idea. It really showcases your creativity. I took a photo of a tree and then wrote about the different elements of my tree. It is interesting that what seemed like a pretty straight forward assignment can have so many different interpretations.
